The Sunday Five: What Are You Up To In 2026?

1: How do you feel about New Years Resolutions?

2: Tell us about any travel plans for 2026?

3: Describe how you will explore your artistry in 2026?

4: What do you plan to read or learn in 2026?

5: What will you do to find peace in 2026?

My answers:

1: How do you feel about New Years Resolutions? Resolutions are all to often dreams, I set goals that are within my capacity to achieve.

2: Tell us about any travel plans for 2026? The first trip of 2026 is a board meeting in San Antonio.

3: Describe how you will explore your artistry in 2026? I will keep painting and taking photos. I should take a class or two.

4: What do you plan to read or learn in 2026? I will read at least a book a week, on whatever catches my eye. Creativity is a theme for 2026.

5: What will you do to find peace in 2026? Spend time in the pool, limit exposure to FB, and news sites.

Please share your answers in the comments.

  1. How do you feel about New Years Resolutions? Never did them, probably never will.

Tell us about any travel plans for 2026? With my two usual beach jaunts, I'm currently looking into three places for the big trip.

Describe how you will explore your artistry in 2026? I never fool with a tried-and-true recipe. I'll keep my hand at all I enjoy.

What do you plan to read or learn in 2026? Whatever lands in my lap.

What will you do to find peace in 2026? Breath and find my own peace. But as a country I have no hope there will be peace.

  6. 1. I never make New Years resolutions.
    2. I intend to spend a couple of weeks back in my old stomping grounds of Manitoba (primarily Winnipeg) in the early summer. I've been meaning to go back since 2019 but the pandemic and cataracts interfered until now.
    3. As for artistry, I hope this year to do more of my own independent art (as opposed to class assignments). But I'll still take classes too.
    4. No plans for reading or learning in 2026 beyond what I usually stumble upon.
    5. I'm going to strive extra hard to Live In The Moment in order to find peace and curb anxiety about the state of the world and the future.

I will finish my poem "Stanage Edge", create a line drawing or painting of Phoebe's cuddly sloth - Monty and I will take many more photographs. Also I hope to compile a collection of my poems and have a few copies printed for family and friends.
