This weeks five:
Have you ever?
1: Attended a profession football game/match (no matter what game you call football)?
2: Attended a major Rock and Roll live performance (and if so what one stands out?)
3: Attended a professional baseball game?
4: Been a part of a wedding that was not your own?
5: Been on the television news?
My answers:
1: Attended a profession football game/match (no matter what game you call football)? Nope
2: Attended a major Rock and Roll live performance (and if so what one stands out?) Yes, Kiss in Jacksonville Florida in the late 1970's, my only time.
3: Attended a professional baseball game? A couple of times in Cincinnati
4: Been a part of a wedding that was not your own? Once, when I was about 5 I was ring bearer in my Aunt's wedding.
5: Been on the television news? As a talking head expert a couple of times.
Please share your answers in the comments.
1. Yup. SF 49ers a few times, at Candelstick Park.
ReplyDelete2. Yup. It's a tie: Sting, the Grateful Dead.
3. Yup. SF Giants a time or two.
4. Yup. I was an usher once, a long time ago.
5. Nope. But I was on local public access tv whenever testifying at public hearings.
SF is a neat town
Delete1: Attended a profession football game/match (no matter what game you call football)? Nope. Not even European football (soccer), which I actually like.
ReplyDelete2: Attended a major Rock and Roll live performance (and if so what one stands out?) Too many to remember. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Brooklyn in the 70s.
3: Attended a professional baseball game? Plenty.
4: Been a part of a wedding that was not your own? Yep.
5: Been on the television news? Yep. In Sevilla!
Five for five. Is there a baseball team in NY?
DeleteOoh, I won’t tell The Kid Brother you asked that question. I was only 4 for 5. Number 1 was a no. High school and university football games and soccer games, but never a pro one.
DeleteIt was early, my brain was not fully on yet. Is there intelligent life before coffee?
Delete1. Yes, twice. Once when I was young with some siblings and a few years ago with two friends. Boring and you can see the play and PLAYERS so much better on tv.
ReplyDelete2. No and it seems like a hideous thing to do.
3. What sport is this thing called baseball?
4. No.
5. No, but I have been mentioned on radio a couple of times.
regarding #2, I was young and hanging with a fun crowd.
Delete1: Attended a profession football game/match (no matter what game you call football)? Yes I have: SF 49ers back in the day.
ReplyDelete2: Attended a major Rock and Roll live performance (and if so what one stands out?) Many; many. The one that stands out was an Amnesty International concert at the LA Coliseum with Springsteen, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Youssou N'Dour and
Tracy Chapman, among others.
3: Attended a professional baseball game? Many. The A's in Oakland, the Dodgers whenever they played the Giants in SF; and the Marlins in Miami.
4: Been a part of a wedding that was not your own? Yes.my sister's first wedding.
5: Been on the television news? Yes, as a child they opened a new primate habitat at our local zoo, and thy used a photo of my brother, sister and I staring through the bars at the big apes.
A life well lived
DeleteI just made reservations for the Frick yesterday. I see it's temporarily in the old Met Breuer building. And I think my friend is making reservations at the Guggenheim today. I joined the Met so I wouldn't have to worry about reservations this time but probably will make them anyway.
ReplyDeleteNow for the 5:
1. Attended a profession football game/match (no matter what game you call football)? No
2: Attended a major Rock and Roll live performance (and if so what one stands out?) 2 0r 3 time my favorite being Fleetwood Mac.
3: Attended a professional baseball game? Yes, a Yankees game in NY in the 70's and several spring training games here in AZ.
4: Been a part of a wedding that was not your own? Several times.
5: Been on the television news? Yes, when a neighbor was arrested.
Sounds like fun plans
Delete1. Once. Chargers versus Raiders. Hideous.
ReplyDelete2. Not really. I wouldn't waste money going to something if I can't hear the performers because of the screaming.
3. Once. Padres versus somebody. Immensely hideous.
4. Bridesmaid in my sister-in-laws wedding. Hideous orange dress.
5. Nope, unless you count a brief human interest type of thingy. Tap dancing with a group of other 8 year olds dressed as elves in a church Christmas pageant. HIDEOUS!
Wow, look at all of the hideous things in my life. It's a wonderment that I turned out so very fabulous! *Snicker*.
You are delightful and just fine. If you were there it was not entirely hideous
DeleteDeedles:
DeleteAny photos of the orange bridesmaid dress?
You're a sick man, Scoot! Yes, I have a picture of two of me wearing the thing. It was actually a orange-red kinda thing, with a shear cape top. The cape had orangey red flowers of some kind. In the pix I look like I've been spatter with tomatoes. Good times.
Delete1: no
ReplyDelete2: yes
3: yes
4: yes
5: it is one of my worst fears.
You would be such a wise expert.
