We can never have too much music in our lives. Saying we have too much music, is like saying we have too much joy, to many feelings and emotions that make us human. I almost always have music playing the background when I am working, or writing. When I walk, I generally walk in silence, until the internal tunes start to play. I remember one holiday time, Thanksgiving or Christmas when I was living in Florida. It had been a difficult year, the end of a dead relationship, the loss of a job. I was at my parent's house, helping Mom in the kitchen, and I started humming a tune that was stuck in my brain. My mother commented, that it was nice to hear me being happy again.
I almost always have music on...even more then television.
ReplyDeleteAnother reason we are just like twins (well there has to be a couple of reasons)
DeleteIf music isn’t playing I usually hear it in my head. So important. Today’s music reminds me of a performance of the Brockport Dolphins, my school’s synchronized swim team. It opened with Ann Something-or-other (a breathtaking Amazon) taking different poses on the pool deck before diving sideways into the pool and joining the entire team for the rest of the song. There were two guys in black Speedos on the team and every time one of them came up out of the water on his back, people laughed because it was like “up periscope.” Ah the memories music brings.
ReplyDeleteBefore the age of video, or it would live on forever on YouTube
DeleteNo words in Space Odyssey, I really don't like background music or even music without visuals. Music is best consumed in bed with my tablet and watching YouTube.
ReplyDeleteConsumed in bed, and interesting turn of phrase
Delete😁😁😁 😘
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOU!
Deletei have said before that I wake uo every day singing a song in my head, and sometimes it's something I've recently heard and other times it's a literal blast from the past.
ReplyDeleteThis is an oldie
DeleteGrowing up, music was a lifeline for me. Motown, showtunes, country, big band, jazz, bubble gum, disco, but mostly anything with words. I'd get lost in it, along with books and television. I remember when the song Angie Baby by Helen Reddy came out. That was me, except for the whole secret lover thing. I still like music and music videos.
ReplyDeleteI remember when, MTV played music videos, I miss those days
DeleteWell, that will give the day a jump start.
ReplyDeleteMusic is always a good way to start the day
