Be Bold, Be You, you are the best you there will ever be. Ignore the haters, the body shamers, those who would deny your perfection, your humanity. Fear not what lies ahead, and don't look back, the past is past, and future lies in the fog ahead.
Today's photo was taken on the incline railway, up the side of Mt Washington in New Hampshire. Home to America's worst weather. I did the trip up, with a steam powered locomotive pushing a single passenger car into the darkness and fog. It was frightening and thrilling - life is like that.
I all in awe of the photo! Frightening and thrilling...I would love that!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I was never able to get into and enjoy Les Miserables, as much as I tried. It just wasn't happening.
Never saw the play, I just thought the video was good. It was an amazing ride.
DeleteWow! That photo! I want to take that trip! I love, love, love Les Miserables. Saw it on Broadway and again in San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteI went out of my way to book the coal fired locomotive, a much more visceral experience that the diesel hydraulic power, of the drive up the other side of the mountain.
DeleteAnd another thing: I've just watched the video for the second time -- full volume. Sheer brilliance. Makes me want to go to Wales just to see them!
ReplyDeleteWhen the borders open, there are many wonders to visit in Wales.
DeleteGreat photo! Love Les Miz too!
ReplyDeleteLove the fog
DeleteThat was a great morning boost! I love all the music of Les Miz.
ReplyDeleteA great start to the week
DeleteI can't see this kind of fog without thinking about a movie that scared me to death when I was snappering my whip. "The Crawling Eye". It made a lasting impression.
ReplyDeleteI can't hear this song without thinking about Key & Peele's version. Loved it. I have the 25th anniversary concert on blu-ray. After experiencing that, the movie was a big disappointment vocally.
I hope the flashback is short, at the top of the mountain, the fog was so dense you could only see a couple of feet in front of you.
DeleteYeah, that's how that creepy eye's tentacles can snap your head off without being seen! I tried watching it on AMC recently. Couldn't get through it. 1958 creepiness cannot be touched :) I just adore Forrest Tucker. Big man, big talent.
DeleteDuring an insomnia time in my life, I would watch old horror movies late at night, so glad I sleep well 99% of the time.
DeleteA good post to address the George Gray' in us.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun,
DeleteI think I featured that railway many many years ago. Great fun.
ReplyDeleteI should go back, I am not sure if they are still running steam or not
