Sunday Five Fast Food Culture

I can remember when, you ordered at the counter at McDonalds and took it back to your car to eat, before McDonalds had indoor dining rooms.  Hence this weeks Sunday Five, fast food. 

 1: When was the last time you ate at McDonalds? 
2: If McDonalds was the only choice, what would you order? 
3: Have eaten at McDonalds in another country, and if so, how was it different from home? 
4: Do you think that the McDonalds concept has passed its time? 
5: Who makes the best fast food? 

 My answers: 
1: When was the last time you ate at McDonalds? Early June, on a road trip. 
2: If McDonalds was the only choice, what would you order? Quarter Pounder with Cheese, fries and a coke zero. 
3: Have eaten at McDonalds in another country, and if so, how was it different from home?  In England during the mad-cow episode I had a McPink - made with pork, in Normandy in France - they served beer and wine.  
4: Do you think that the McDonalds concept has passed its time? I think it has, and I am not convinced that their efforts to evolve are going to work in the long term. 
5: Who makes the best fast food? Hmm, I think Wendy's makes the best burger, but their service system is slow and management has been political in ways that make me want to avoid them.

    4: yes

    5: wendy's has the best burgers, and h8-fil-a has the best chicken, but I don't patronize either due to their politics

    1: When was the last time you ate at McDonalds? About 3 yeas algo. I. Brooklyn while closing up my mother’s apartment. It wasn’t bad.
    2: If McDonalds was the only choice, what would you order? My first thought is a Big Mac, fries, and a chocolate shake, but I’d probably go for some healthier grilled chicken thing.
    3: Have eaten at McDonalds in another country, and if so, how was it different from home? England and Germany. A long time ago though. England’s was awful, hated the burger and the fries. Germany’s was pretty good.
    4: Do you think that the McDonalds concept has passed its time? Nope
    5: Who makes the best fast food? I loved Chipotle... until that whole ecoli thing.

    1. Last time -- a couple of months ago maybe.
    2. Typical order -- Big Mac, fries, small milk.
    3. Another country -- in Mexico. McDonalds always had clean bathrooms.
    4. Yes, I think it is no longer the King of Fast Food. Too many competitors today.

    4: Do you think that the McDonalds concept has passed its time? apparently they are doing quite well
    5: Who makes the best fast food? I prefer Wendys for quality but BK for taste.
