- Have you ever owned more than one car at the same time? In the dying moments of my first marriage, both cars were in my name, and I now own two.
- Is there a car you parted with, that you wish you had back? I owned a mid 1980's Mazda station wagon (estate car) it was simple, reliable, I have often wished I had kept it.
- Are there bumper stickers, or decals on your car? No. Seldom if ever
- Can you imagine living without a car? It would be possible but not convenient where we live now.
- Have you ever had to have a car towed because of a mechanical breakdown? Twice, a broken fan belt, and a battery so dead the car wouldn't stay running when started.

5. Twice. My 1971 Maverick (on what was to be the first date, 36+ yrs ago, I'd go on with my now husband). Second was a Volvo wagon, cracked oil pan, drove car and engine froze.

I tried to buy a bug once, it was cut up to make a dune buggy before I was able to get the deal done.

Delete1. My first new car was in 2000 - I was 29 and Jeffrey and I purchased it together. We shared one car for the first 10 years we were together, but had to purchase a second car when it was no longer possible for us to carpool to and from work together. We have since owned two cars, both in both our names, but he picked out one and drives it, I picked out the other and drive it. I have never owned two cars on my own (and never would) but technically, I do (co)own two cars.

My first "new" new car, was 1982 or 1983, then 1990, 1992, 1994, 2012. I have owned a lot of cars, a lot of used cars.

ReplyDelete2. Yes, my 1978 Chevy Impala station wagon. I got my license in that car when I was 23. I learned to drive in it because BH got a little tipsy with his best friend and decided I needed a new car. It sat for a few months until I realized, oh well, I may as well learn to drive it. Kept it for twenty years. That laydown back seat was a lot of fun when we'd take a short break from throwing papers.

4. I can imagine quite vividly living without a car. Grocery shopping is hard, though.
5. My Triple A card has a lot of mileage on it! The tow drivers started to recognize me and my car (not the Impala). I can't count how many times I've been towed.
