Nice View Most Days
This chipmunk has a nice view, a large burrow, likely lots of friends. Not a lot of foraging options, but things are growing back. What are the odds Mt St Helens will blow her top again? I'd nest there and take those odds, would you?

DeleteIf I were a chipmunk, I’d say my lifespan wasn’t long enough to worry about it. Maybe in a few more years.
ReplyDeleteI think the mountain is safe for a few decades, it was still venting steam, one of bucket list items was to see an active volcano, this might be as close as I get.
Deleteit looks like it did in 1985 when I visited. probably won't explode for another century.
