I saw this at https://sporeflections.wordpress.com/. It seemed a fun thing to try. Indeed there are a lot of non-sexual sensations that feel amazing. Here are mine
20 Non-Sexual Amazing Sensations
- Seeing a place I have dreamed about, for the first time
- Stroking beaver fur (the kind with a flat tail and buck teeth.)
- Warm sunshine on a cool day
- The smell when you enter a room containing 5,000 pounds of beeswax
- Landing on the water in a float plane
- Wiggling your toes after spinal surgery
- The taste of Willett Pot Still Reserve
- Watching an Indy car go by at race speed
- The world shaking in an earthquake
- Walking into the Vatican in Rome
- Gazing up into the soaring vaults of Notre Dame in Paris
- The smell of sausage and bacon cooking
- The sound of a big gator launching into the water
- The sensation of a spacecraft launch, you can see it, hear it, feel it, smell it
- The magic moment when the plane lifts off the runway and starts to climb
- A slow "spin" in a single engine airplane (you never forget your first - full stall, full rudder to one side and the plane rolls over upside down and then starts to spiral toward the ground.)
- A fast downhill ride on a bike, with the wind at your back
- Swimming in 85 degree ocean water
- Crossing the finish line
- Walking out the door on the start of a new adventure
Beaver rubbing?
ReplyDeleteYou?
Get away!
I was in a furrier in Anchorage, Alaska and he pulled out a sheered beaver and said you have got to touch this at least once in your life. He was right. If I had the money, I'd have the coat made.

I actually like the earthquake feeling. The one thing you think is secure under your feet suddenly starts to move. Reminds me that all things are changing, all things are in motion.
ReplyDelete#16. I'm thinking no for me. LOL!
ReplyDeleteAll of these are wonderful except #16. And I have admittedly never encountered 5000 pounds of beeswax.
ReplyDeleteAfter living in California for 30 years I've gotten used to earthquakes, but never learned to enjoy them.
Fun reads!
ReplyDelete#15 usually gives me the heebie-jeebies.
