Everywhere you look there are details in the stone work. |
Those buildings look fairly clean. I guess they are not all covered in grime. Apparently London's buildings were very grimy when cars spat out very bad fumes and heating was by burning coal. They were gradually cleaned up.
ReplyDeleteCoal fired heating had to be messy.
DeleteGreat stonework. That would be a fun walking tour on its own.
ReplyDeleteI am sure there is a walking tour or two, there are two open top bus tours.
DeleteIf there are that many sugar daddies maybe I need to move to Glasgow?
ReplyDeleteFor the architecture.
And the diamond arcades.
You could help them organize into a club, plan events, and exhibits, car shows.
DeleteWhat kind of jewels did you get me toots???
ReplyDeleteLove the architecture of that museum! And those cars are not what I'd expect to see in Glasgow.
The driver of the Lamborghini would have caught your eye.
DeleteI can see why those cars caught your eye!
ReplyDeleteI saw the green one a couple of times around the city. They are fun to look at, but I wouldn't want to own one.
DeleteHow cool to be in Scotland on VE Day. Old buildings with their sculptures are works of art.
ReplyDeleteWe came up the hill to the Catholic Cathedral, just as the Piper and Dignitaries were leaving the church from a special remembrance service. They gathered for a photo out front. Then locked up the Cathedral and left.
DeleteThe old and the new all mixed together. Interesting photos!
ReplyDeleteI really like Glasgow, lots of old and new, and a very genuine city. It does not try to be anything it is not.
DeleteGreat set of photos from around town. I love those old buildings.
ReplyDeleteThe details in the stone work are amazing.
Deletehave a good day...
