My answers:
1: Do you wear jewelry every day? No, my wedding ring is on my house keys.
2: What is your favorite piece of jewelry? A silver bracelet that I bought in Florida a few years ago.
3: What should we do with jewelry we don't wear? Take it out and adore it from time to time.
4: Has anyone given you a special piece of jewelry, and if so describe it? I have an enamel pendant watch that my grandmother received as a gift in 1913, and she passed onto me with I was in my early 20's. I should give it to one of my nephews.
5: Are you more of a gold person or a silver person? I like gold, but I own more silver than gold.

Do you wear jewelry every day? Just a watch and layers of bead bracelets. Wrist stacking it's called. Can't stand things on my fingers. Funnily enough, I have a lot of watches and that's it. But when it came to drag....oh heavens did I have huge estate jewelry of jewels, bangles, beads and rhinestones!!!! I kept a few pieces but gave most of the trunk away to other still performing queens.
ReplyDeleteWhat is your favorite piece of jewelry? None really. Although in a upcoming auction I could be owning a collection of brooches by the late fabulous Iris Apfel.
What should we do with jewelry we own and don't wear? I have a few pieces of my grandmothers. They are in velvet pouches stored.
Has anyone given you a special piece of jewelry, and if so describe it? Nope.
Are you more of a gold person or a silver person? Neither.
No special person has put a ring on it?
DeleteI ex gave me a ring. I wore it, but it drove me nuts!
DeleteThe ring or the ex? Or both?
DeleteThe ring!!!! I can't stand things on my fingers.
DeletePretty well no to all. I would be a more silver person, if anything.
ReplyDeleteSilver can be so fun to work with.
Delete1: Do you wear jewelry every day? just earrings
ReplyDelete2: What is your favorite piece of jewelry? I don’t have one
3: What should we do with jewelry we own and don't wear? Sell it. Give it to a family member or to a friend. Donate it.
4: Has anyone given you a special piece of jewelry, and if so describe it? A number of things over the years.
5: Are you more of a gold person or a silver person? Silver, I think.
With a heart of gold.
Delete1: Do you wear jewelry every day? No. I have never worn ANY jewellery.
ReplyDelete2: What is your favorite piece of jewelry? I don't have a favourite as I do not possess ANY jewellery.
3: What should we do with jewelry we own and don't wear? Put it somewhere and forget about it or give it to a friend or family member who cherishes jewellery.
4: Has anyone given you a special piece of jewelry, and if so describe it? No. Nobody has ever given me a piece of jewellery for which I am most grateful.
5: Are you more of a gold person or a silver person? I am more of a wood person. Leave precious metals and gemstones in the ground I say.
I have seen rings and watches carved from wood.
Delete1. My wedding ring. My Star of David and my apple watch.
ReplyDelete2. My wedding ring.
3. Sell it. If you're not using it, what's the point of holding onto it.
4. I have an inherited Patek Philipe pocket watch from my great grandfather that is worth a lot. It's in a safety deposit box. I need to find a way to auction it.
5. Silver, or white. My wedding ring is Tungsten. My Star of David is silver.
I should do something with a couple of watches.
Delete1: Do you wear jewelry every day? My wedding ring.
ReplyDelete2: What is your favorite piece of jewelry? My wedding ring.
3: What should we do with jewelry we own and don't wear? I have saved some, and given some--like watches I'll never wear again--to friends and family. I have a chain my father wore every day and hanging at the end of it is his wedding band with my mother's wedding band soldered inside it so it's double circles.
4: Has anyone given you a special piece of jewelry, and if so describe it? We, well, I have a family ring, gold black onyx and one diamond that was my grandfather's, then given to my Dad and then given to me; my grandmother had a gold ring with black onyx stone and the letter 'S' made for me when I was younger.
5: Are you more of a gold person or a silver person? Definitely silver or platinum.
My father never wore anything other than a watch. After he died, I discovered several pieces he owned, and never wore.
DeleteThe only jewelry I wear is a ring that belonged to my great-aunt. It was given to me by my parents when I turned 50. It's a lovely art deco design set in platinum.
ReplyDeleteI had several other diamond pieces that I have been giving to my daughter at different stages of her life.
An ideal gift to pass along the memories of the family associated with them.
Delete1: Do you wear jewelry every day? Usually
ReplyDelete2: What is your favorite piece of jewelry? A necklace I bought in Santa Fe.
3: What should we do with jewelry we own and don't wear? Pass it on to someone else.
4: Has anyone given you a special piece of jewelry, and if so describe it? I have my mother's class ring and I wear it more than any other piece of jewelry.
5: Are you more of a gold person or a silver person? I think I'm equally both.
I found my mother's class ring when I was cleaning out the safe after dad died, I never knew she had one.
DeleteI had on my right hand The Ring of Power; on my is The Ring of Matrimony. I used to wear a lot of necklaces but they make my hump worse, alas, so no more of them. Mine is all Silver.
ReplyDeleteWhat Hump?
DeleteBrilliant!
DeleteIf I had the necklace pictured above, I'd wear it every day (and look smashing if I do say so myself). OK, maybe not to water aerobics, but other than that...
