1: Is there a mascot, totem, or good luck charm that accompanies you where you go? Travel penguin has been with me about 20 years.
2: What is your favorite meal to eat at a restaurant, cafe, or bar? Breakfast.
3: What is your favorite part of staying in a hotel? Fresh towels daily. I do this at home.
4: Do you carry a camera other than a phone? Anytime I leave town, and at least once a week on my days off.
5: How many pieces of luggage do you own? Five in slightly different sizes.

ReplyDelete2. None but in an Asian restaurant, I do like hot and sour soup.
3. You'll be out of luck here. From Covid on, fresh towels on request. Even before that there were signs that out of concern for the environment, towels would not be changed daily. Concern about the cost more likely. I like finding out how everything in room works. Yes, as a kid I would take a clock apart.
4. I used to but aside from the brilliant 40X optical camera zoom for distance, my phone mostly does the job.
5. Four, a medium sized and small suitcase and a medium and small sized backpack.

5: How many pieces of luggage do you own? I think about a dozen, counting carry-on.

Delete1. Not really. Now and then I'll take Gumby for a photo op. If I remember, or even know where I left him. I've had this Gumby for about 40 years.
ReplyDelete2. I don't know that I do. I have faves at certain places, but not necessarily a favourite meal.
3. Have spent so much time in hotels, they're just a room to me - for the most part. I do like a view, so always try to get a room with one from wherever I'm staying.
4. I don't. I still have a FILM camera, but not a digital one.
5. Three. Roller bag, a big one (which I'm not sure I've used in decades) and a carry-on / weekender bag.

5: How many pieces of luggage do you own? 2 rollers, a couple of duffels, a backpack. They all get used at one time or another depending on the trip, where, how long, mode of travel.
I made my bed at home, once, recently, maybe the third time in 13 years.

3. I love staying in a hotel. I don't have to pretend I'm going to make the bed, or dust, or clean the bathroom. It's actually done in a hotel. I try not to think about those black light thingies. I hate the fixed showerheads though. Nooks and crannies are hard to rinse with those things.
4. Nope. I don't actually take pictures. It was more fun with film. I always preferred waiting for the results. Balder Half will photograph anything.
5. I think we own at least four, probably six (I always forget about garment bags )
Oh I agree on the shower heads, occasionally hotels have something nice, but not most.

5: How many pieces of luggage do you own? I own four but I only take one on most trips (plus a small computer bag). I've become a master at packing light.
I almost always check a bag when flying, one bad and my messenger bag and I am set to go.
