I went out for a walk one morning recently, and these signs caught my eye. Perhaps I am living in the right place, largely, but not entirely surrounded by sensible people. In a year when I have unfriended people in an effort to get the toxins out of my life. I realize how good I have it here.
If an immigrant comes here, and works, or runs a business, and someone finds the persons industry offensive, the person is simply being a racist.
After centuries of injustice, change starts in the heart of every person.
I would take this one a step farther, equity is more work than inclusion, inclusion is a seat at the table, equity is giving everyone a fair chance to take part.
Acts of violence intended to terrorize, and perpetrators who are seldom treated as terrorists. They must be.
And those were in one 45 minute walk. I hope the actions speak louder than the words.
And this in Times Square.
Those signs would be so reassuring to see when out and about. Tragic that they’re things that need to be said.

DeleteI guess in NYC the signs are mostly preaching to the converted. Nevertheless, an interesting collection. While we have a rebellious minority, it is tiny. What is going on in some of your states is really alarming.

DeleteI see way too many signs that indicate the opposite of this so seeing this is a very welcome sight.

DeleteThe rising tide (or at least, increased visibility) of bigotry and hate is very disturbing so kudos to whoever is displaying these countervailing signs!
