I have fallen into a habit of posting the best photos from my morning strolls in the marsh, on the last Saturday / first Saturday of the month. This Saturday is something special, and last Saturday was to far from the end of the month. So my Mornings in the Marsh collection are today. My once a month indulgence in lots of images.
Lots of Barred Owl images, it is the first time I have had the opportunity to photograph one up close. The Eagle chicks, there are at least two, are finally showing themselves.
The Barred Owl, the little Wren and the heron wins the prize for best shots!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI believe out little eaglets here at the lake have fledged, and one has flown the coup to start life of it's own. One left.
I am hearing mixed reports on our eagles, I have only seen one in the nest the past few days.
DeleteBeautiful!

DeleteFantastic images. You have a wonderful place to walk and see nature.
ReplyDeleteSo lucky to have it nearby
DeleteYa know, until I saw your pretty pictures, I always thought that a marsh and a swamp were the same thing. Your photos forced me to get off of my lazy brain tush and look up the differences. This is a lot more attractive than a swamp. I too love all of the birds.
ReplyDeleteThe Potomac River is tidal, and rises and falls 12-24 inches. With the trail it is a nice walk, dry most of the time.
DeleteMarvellous pictures! I love especially the owl photos.
