Well that didn't go as planned, but all will be okay. We started out on the trip to New York, and things did not go as planned. Sweet Bear became confused and had difficulty putting words together, then he was better, then he had a headache. We eventually turned around and came back home. A consultation with his Doc urged us to go to the hospital for tests. The verdict, a TIA, not a full blown stroke (thankfully) but a small "event." A "warning shot." 24 hours later, after every test they could figure out how to bill for, and a couple of new medications, we walked out of the hospital.
Home three days before expected, and thankful for being home, alive and well.
That was a more exciting week than we had planned.

And there’s J enjoying room service! Sending you both all good thoughts. I LOVE that meme!
ReplyDeleteHe was ordering lunch.
DeleteThat must have been rather scary. At least things are ok now after the diagnosis and treatment.
ReplyDeleteWithin an hour he was making bad jokes with the Nurse Dude, and the Doctors.
DeleteChrist Almighty! That was a hell of an episode. James has received a warning shot and now I hope that through medication and perhaps some lifestyle changes he can fend of The Grim Reaper for a decade or more.
ReplyDeleteAt this age, all we are doing is postponing that date.
DeleteWell, not the adventure you had anticipated for but glad to hear SB is doing well now. Sending both of you good thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThank you, home and doing fine.
DeleteGood that you got to a doctor and had him checked out. Glad to hear he's doing better.
ReplyDeleteSending all kinds of positive thoughts your way.
Thanks,
DeleteGlad it all turned out okay! Phew!
ReplyDeleteIt could have turned out very different.
DeleteOh gosh, so sorry for the trouble but extremely glad it turned out okay and you are home once again. I can relate, I had some difficulty on my trip to Chicago that is going to require further action scheduled for January. Getting old is not for the faint of heart.
ReplyDeleteBeing unwell and away from home multiplies the fear factor.
DeleteWow! So glad he is doing better. What a stroke of luck.
ReplyDeleteScary times
DeleteOh no! I'm sorry you had to turn around but thank goodness SB is better. I hope the "warning shot" comes with advice and/or medications to avoid future recurrences.
ReplyDeleteSo far the docs are guessing
DeleteII hope the recovery will be successful
