4: What is the earliest computer operating system you remember working with? Basic, I even did some programing.

  1. Do you own a typewriter, and if so when was the last time you used it? I don't know I ever owned one.

Do you have a phone that does not fit in your pocket? Yes. I still have a land line. Comes in handy when the power is out and one can't charge your phone. Only my family and inner sanctum has the number

About what year did you start using computers? We had classes in middle school if I recall.

What is the earliest computer operating system you remember working with? Hell, who knows, one of those big set ups, with the green screen tv, disk drive and keyboard do hickies.

What new technology do you think will start to be common in the next decade? Autonomous vehicles. I wouldn't be surprised if the 2020, 2030's will be the decade in which autonomous vehicles of all kinds cars, taxis, trucks, and even ships become truly autonomous and commercially viable.

  3. 1. We have an antique Woodstock typewriter. It's for display only. I think 1990 was last time I used any typewriter.
    2. No.
    3. 1985-ish.
    4. I couldn't possibly tell you.
    5. It won't be flying cars.

    2. I hope not! There are too many flying disasters now. I don't trust idiots on the road, let alone the sky.

  4. 1: Do you own a typewriter, and if so when was the last time you used it? We do not and I cannot think of when I last used one.
2: Do you have a phone that does not fit in your pocket? We have a landline on the office desk for emergency situations like power outages and such.
3: About what year did you start using computers? Mid-80s, I think.
4: What is the earliest computer operating system you remember working with? The one that had the monkey inside who would chisel your work onto a piece of stone then spit it out for you. No, wait; that was my neighbors, The Flintstones.
5: What new technology do you think will start to be common in the next decade? More self driving cars and AI ruling the world.

    2. Dot Matrix? Who is she?
I kid; I remember it. My father's first computer printed that way.

  5. 1. No typewriter.
    2. No land line phone.
    3. I've been using a computer for 30 years. Started at work, using a dial-up modem with that horrible screech. In those days the internet had absolutely nothing on it but crappy looking websites for businesses. I thought "Who will ever make use of this stupid feature?" Now it dominates my life.
    4. My first encounter with a computer was in 1978, when I did a quantitative analysis of data class in university and we had to write and keypunch a huge stack of cards to run our program with. Everyone had at least 2 or 3 elastic bands around their stacks of keypunched cards, terrified of dropping them and then having to put them back in order again, LOL! The computers were huge and filled their own big room in the Engineering Building. Man, seems like ancient history now.
    5. AI EVERYTHING.

2: Do you have a phone that does not fit in your pocket? Yes, at the moment but it will be gone next week. It is part of my cable package but I never use it. I'm cutting the cable next week.
3: About what year did you start using computers? Sometime around 1990. My dad started before me and like you, he started with a Radio Shack computer.
4: What is the earliest computer operating system you remember working with? I remember my dad using DOS but the first I worked with was Cobal.
5: What new technology do you think will start to be common in the next decade? AI is taking over but I like your idea of electric flying.

    5. Everything will become electric, hopefully powered by renewable energy.
