Georges' chair looks well enough padded but not terribly ergonomic. There must be some nice autumn tree colour now.

DeleteThe fifth picture scared the shit out of me. I thought I could see the ghost of George Washington in the glass but then I realised it was just your reflection. Suddenly, my fear doubled.

Mt Vernon was saved by a committee of women, is privately owned by a foundation, and does not accept government funding. It has remained open, while most of DC is shut down.
