A few weeks ago, I posted about visiting Montana, and promised in the comments to post photos from that part of the country. Wyoming is directly south of Montana, a very similar landscape. I drove across Wyoming, spending a couple of nights back in August of 2023.

The scenery is very pleasant.
ReplyDeleteI missed taking photos of the eastern 200 miles of the state, gently rolling grass covered hills.
DeleteI enjoyed those. Your better than I. Most of the states I care to see I have been two, but Montana and Wyoming are two that nature wise, I think I'd enjoy seeing one day. Those two and Alaska.
ReplyDeleteAlaska is a must see.
DeleteI was in Wyoming during the 80s during a family reuinion trip (not my family) to Flathead Lake, Montana. Not a place I’d want to live, but stunning scenery. Really enjoyed Yellowstone.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a challenging place for me to live, but it is nice to visit.
DeleteSo good to see the great and noble bird making an appearance.
ReplyDeleteTravel enjoyed the trip;
DeleteMajestic mountains and wide open spaces. Wyoming is a beautiful state to visit.
ReplyDeleteI took a route off of the expressway going west and drove through some wonderful mountain passes.
DeleteBeautiful country!
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty part of the country.
DeleteI am rather envious that you have visited Wyoming - so vast and so underpopulated. However, I believe that I will be able to keep my envy under control - owing to strong willpower.
ReplyDeleteThe easiest way to get there, is fly to Denver or Salt Lake City and rent a car.
DeleteI once drove across the bottom of Wyoming headed back to California. The terrain is so gorgeous and your pictures prove that.
ReplyDeleteIt is also a very long drive across the state.
DeleteThere is some beautiful scenery in that state. I love the wide open expanse in your second photo.
ReplyDeleteI should capture more like that.
DeleteNice photos of Wyoming!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI remember visiting Yellowstone Park and being disappointed with out accomodations. The next day we drove just a few miles into Wyoming and had a neat log cabin facing the Grand Tetons and Jackson Lake.
