Back in 2015 we spent a couple of weeks in Germany, with a couple of nights in Salzburg, Austria, lunch in Switzerland, and a wrong turn into France for 2 minutes. How to tell Austria from Australia. There are no kangaroos in Austria, and they drive in the right side of the road.
Beautiful and ending with handsome J! And now I’m singing Salzburg by the Sea from Bells Are Ringing.
ReplyDeleteTen years has flown by so fast.
DeleteCheaper than Switzerland, but I don't think by much. Nevertheless, Austria is a beautiful country and its major cities are just wonderful. Our mail used to often arrive with an Austrian post office stamp on the envelope.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if mail to Austria makes the trip South on the way?
DeleteAnd I bet the music of Mozart is played EVERYWHERE!
ReplyDeleteLots of cafe's with that theme
DeleteBeautiful; love the architecture of the church.
ReplyDeleteA neat city.
DeleteYou have had some great adventures!
ReplyDeleteYes, lots of adventures, and hopefully a few left to go.
DeleteThere is a lot of beauty in Austria. I remember seeing breathtaking views around every turn.
ReplyDeleteIt was an easy country to drive in.
DeleteWe were in Salzburg in 2019 and walked the paths that you did. What a beautiful country. On our last day there, we stopped at the Hotel Sacher for a glass of champagne and a slice of Sacher Torte. Chocolate decadence!
ReplyDeleteFond memories indeed
