ReplyDeleteThey put in new carpeting over the summer.
DeleteInteresting variety of pictures. Washington DC appears fairly "low rise" compared with New York, Chicago etc.. Any idea why that should be the case?
ReplyDeleteThere is a law that limits the height of buildings based on the width of the street right of way. It was intended to prevent blocking of views of the Washington Monument and Capital.
DeleteWhat a lovely and eclectic post of photos! I would have chosen the carrot cake too.
ReplyDeleteI ordered the cake, before I ordered lunch. It is from a local bakery near the restaurant. The restaurant is Fishers in Peninsula Ohio.
DeleteSo many good things: Bad Words, the Wine Tags; the Books quote; a smiling Travel; Carlos loves that kind of dark blue glass; and that artwork in the condo community center.
ReplyDeleteOh and the fall foliage!
Good stuff.
I had a very large collection of cobalt blue glass, when we had room. The Blenco Glass works are just off of the interstate between here and Lexington Kentucky.
DeleteThat was a great set of interesting photos and wonderful captions. I love all those colorful leaves.
ReplyDeleteIt is still pretty here this fall.
DeleteThe bright blue skies and colorful leaves are fabulous! Thanks for the lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteWith my phone, I always have a camera handy.
DeleteThank you for sharing this diverse collection of photos. You've had some lovely fall strolls. You take good selfies...I always delete mine. Haven't quite mastered the art of selfie photos.
ReplyDeleteI have been doing a selfie a day this year, https://travelpenguindaily.blogspot.com/
DeleteThe wine tag made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteCarrot cake....good to know you are getting your share of vegies.
Your pictures of the Kennedy Center reminds me of when my now BIL took my sister on a date there to see a show. He was getting nervous about it and told my sister "There are going to be some really tony people there." To which my sister replied "Don't worry. I'm sure they'll behave themselves."
