My Music Monday : The Doors Light My Fire Ed Sullivan Show 1967
This one got stuck in my head recently, I just needed to share it. The Video stops moving a minute or so in, it is not your computer, but the sound continues.
My grandparents were more open minded about TV than my parents. Who knows what impact seeing Elvis would have. You are about the same age as J. I am a little younger.
I love Jim Morrison's voice. So sexy (I was 11 in '67). The Ed Sullivan Show was a Sunday night ritual for our family, and a reminder that school started the next day. I loved the comedians and all of the musical acts. Couldn't stand that mouse or the plate twirlers. I don't mind this song being stuck in my head. It's a good one. That picture of WH is too cute for words!
THAT one gets stuck in your head, huh?!? Adorable. And the song’s good, too. I remember watching The Doors on Ed Sullivan.
ReplyDeleteIf you remember watching the Ed Sullivan show, either you are a little older than I am, or your family was more liberal, or both.
DeleteA LOT older than you, I think. I turned 13 in ’67. Also, my parents didn’t care WHAT we watched if it meant we weren’t annoying them.

DeleteDashing, ain't I?
ReplyDeleteVery!
DeleteWell, they all look stoned out of their heads, don't they?
ReplyDeleteNext week in the Beach Boys in the studio, a real study in mental health.
DeleteNow I'm hoping it won't get stuck in my head.
ReplyDeleteIf it does, replace it, displace it
