I played the tuba in a school band for a couple of years, not very well, I have visual spatial issues that make reading music a challenge, and the music teacher had no idea how to teach around that. One of the few modern classics we played was Moon River.
A fave of mine too, full of bittersweet longing.
ReplyDeleteEven out of context, it is gentle and flowing,
DeleteA favorite song of mine in a favorite film of mine.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long time since I have seen the film
DeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a beautiful melody. Instantly recognizable. I just watched Breakfast at Tiffany's because I found it on HBO. Love that movie.
XOXO
Nice way to start the week

I didn't know you played a tuba!
one of my many mysteries
DeleteThat song always sounds so melancholy to me, especially with just piano. But still, really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNot cheerful or perky chirpy
DeleteThat's a song I hadn't heard in a long time.
ReplyDeleteI have eclectic taste in music
DeleteNicely played and with some passion. I didn't know the song came from a movie sound track.
ReplyDeleteWhen I played piano I remember playing this.
ReplyDeleteIt's a crowd pleaser.
