It is that time of the year, when I can indulge in Christmas music, for a month. The perpetual green of holly reminds me of the hope of the return of spring, of the brightness of the future.
LOL So it starts, huh? I do like some xmas music. I'm all but done by December 15th, though. It can get a little overwhelming. And I like holly. I should plant some and see how it goes...
Halls decked the first week of November (for the first time ever(, lights on and Xmas music playing daily since November 27th, and gifts wrapped yesterday. No apologies. We need a little Christmas, right this very minute. And I love that we’re all done. Enjoy!
Bah humbug. Don't feel obliged on my account. 😉
ReplyDeleteOnly on the blog once a week,
DeleteWell, I suppose it's time to get the Christmas music out of storage.
ReplyDeleteI have this image of you climbing a ladder into an attic and handing boxes down.
DeleteFunny, I have this image of Scoot falling off of the ladder and landing on SG, who knew to spot him.
DeleteLOL

I can make it for a month or do, then I have heard enough for a year.

ReplyDeleteOur tree went up this weekend.
DeleteI always think of Burl Ives when I hear this song. I like this version though!
ReplyDeleteA classic
DeleteI notice it at the grocery store this weekend. The Christmas music was going strong.
ReplyDeleteI am listening to Smooth Radio out of London, the mix includes popular christmas classics.
DeleteI've been enjoying a lot of Pentatonix, but I avoid the Christmas stuff. I stay away from stores this time of year.
ReplyDeleteSuch talent
DeleteUGH! the only "fake holiday" music I can stand is "a charlie brown xmess" soundtrack; the rest can go in the garbage. humbug!
ReplyDeleteThere is more to come, ho-ho-ho!
DeleteI love holly; I try to wrap all my christmas prizes in holly gift wrap.
ReplyDeleteThe Holly photo was taken in the parking lot at Mt Vernon the middle of November.
