I Need Silliness in My Life
I need silliness in my life. Much of what I do is serious. I spend time thinking and talking about illness, abuse and end of life. If I allowed it to do so, it would dominate my life. But life is so much more than bad things and ending. Sometimes silliness reminds me of that. Entertainment aimed just at being entertaining.
Would you join me for this show?
I'd love to, but I can't do silly at those hours. I can't do serious then either. I'm usually asleep at that time. Do silly dreams count? I do believe that entertainment should always be entertaining. I don't believe that a movie has to be dreary and depressing to be considered "art". It's just a dreary, depressing movie. Give me Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Airplane! Silliness, take me away!

It was fun, we will be back.
DeleteI thought of you, when I saw this sign and took this picture. Deep inside all of us is an entertainer, few of us have the balls to let it be seen and heard.
DeleteDefinitely. I believe in escapism.
ReplyDeleteI lack it.
