Tennessee State Capital
I have been in probably 20 state capitals. Some of them are grand, some not. Some are very open and welcoming, like Kentucky and Tennessee where you can walk onto the House and Senate floors when the chamber is not in session, others are forbidding, like Florida with bullet proof glass around the Senate gallery, and the legislative floor being off limits to the public. Tennessee was fun. It is a bit of a climb, it is on top of a hill, and the access is up a couple of flights of stone steps. In Kentucky I lobbied a few times, in DC, I can respond to questions and offer expert advice, but I can't ask for action.
Have you ever "lobbied" the government?
I have been in constant contact with my state and fed representation since 11/9/16. I have gone to rallies to meet them in person. I have signed petitions. I have contributed to candidates. we the people MUST be involved in the guvmint process! or we deserve the guvmint we get!

ReplyDeleteI've advised governments but never lobbied per se. Love that chandelier!
ReplyDeleteNever have. This looks quite grand. I’ve never been to Tennessee or Kentucky.
