1: What is the largest live audience you have spoken before?

4: If you were going to do a live TV show, what would it be about?
5: How much money would it take, to get you to do five-minutes of standup-comedy at a comedy club?
My Answers:
1: What is the largest live audience you have spoken before? about 1,200 at a lawyers convention, 1,800 on a live webinar (does it count, I can't see or hear the audience.)
2: Would you act, even as a background extra in a movie? Yes
3: Would you sing in public? No, now readers of this blog may recall plans for a recording at the Ryman as a team building exercise, there was a scheduling conflict and it didn't happen - either that or Hugh paid someone off to cancel it.
4: If you were going to do a live TV show, what would it be about? I could do an interview show.
5: How much money would it take, to get you to do five-minutes of standup-comedy at a comedy club? Hmm, $500 for five minutes, $100 a minute should do.
Your answers in the comments.
1: about 70 people at my grandmother's funeral service
ReplyDelete2: that might be fun, so sure
3: NO. but certain blog friends have heard me sing in private.
4: probably baking or knitting
5: ain't enough money in the world for me to do that. certain blog friends have heard my "comedy routines" in private. it's like my snarky blog comments, only voiced live.
PS - you look FABU up there! did you feel you were in the presence of so many country stars who have graced that stage?
Delete1: What is the largest live audience you have spoken before? Never spoken. But when I did drag it was probably varying crowds of 200 -600. I can't speak and hate getting up in front of people as me, but when it comes to drag I don't mind it...weird right?
ReplyDelete2: Would you act, even as a background extra in a movie? Yes
3: Would you sing in public? Hell no!!!!!
4: If you were going to do a live TV show, what would it be about? drag or interior design.
5: How much money would it take, to get you to do five-minutes of standup-comedy at a comedy club? Like you at least between 300 -500!!!!
1. About 140, but with a partner. Alone, 25 high school English class assignment. Wrote a speech as a fat southern white sheriff. Had to do it aloud. Accent and all! The crowdlet roared! I was way too shy to raise my hand in class, so they were all shocked. Got an A.
ReplyDelete2. Depends if I had to be nekkid or not! A dressed extra, yes. I can mumble "peas and carrots" with the best of them.
3. Not in my right mind! I did it slightly tipsy on a cruise to Alaska. My sister entered me, on the sly, in the sing live with the band thingy. I didn't want to embarrass her when they called my name. The singer helped me out. It was kind of like karaoke, only live. I caterwauled thru Son of a Preacher Man. Should've stuck with Bill Medley or Barry White.
3. Nah, wouldn't do it. Wouldn't be prudent.
4. It's funny, heh, but I've had friends tell me I should do stand up. I've had to ask "Do you even know me?"! So, I'd be willing to get up in front of a heckling crowd for maybe about 2 to 5 million. I can die on stage for that, then build a nice house in the country where no one has seen the act. I can't even blog, for goodness sakes!
1: What is the largest live audience you have spoken before? About 2000-3000. I was one of four commencement speakers in 1968. It was a huge graduating class--over 600, so the auditorium was filled with us, family members, faculty, friends.
ReplyDelete2: Would you act, even as a background extra in a movie? Maybe, if they paid me.
3: Would you sing in public? I did in high school. I was a part of a swing choir, and I did solos, sitting on a stool, playing a baritone ukulele, singing Peter, Paul, and Mary songs.
4: If you were going to do a live TV show, what would it be about? Wouldn't do it.
5: How much money would it take, to get you to do five-minutes of standup-comedy at a comedy club? No amount of money--I don't have much of a sense of humor.
1: What is the largest live audience you have spoken before? Perhaps 150.
ReplyDelete2: Would you act, even as a background extra in a movie? Definitely
3: Would you sing in public? Sure!
4: If you were going to do a live TV show, what would it be about? Growing up gay; growing up with a differently abled sibling; whatever you want to talk about.
5: How much money would it take, to get you to do five-minutes of standup-comedy at a comedy club? Not much.
1: I was in the medical school review which had hundreds of people; it felt like thousands.
ReplyDelete2: I have - in a few college-made movies. Oh the embarrassment.
3: At karaoke and with a few drinks and if it is Puccini and people don't mind if the orchestra and I go off into different keys.
4: Sooner I'd eat rats at Tewkesbury sorry.
5: another no-thank you pass. I am seldom successful at being funny in public.
1) 300, large lecture course, twice a week for 15 weeks. Large crowds are no problem for me, but put me in a room with 10 people I never met and I clam up.
ReplyDelete2) I actually did with a part in a semi-pro comedy. They actually paid me.
3) No.
4) It would be some sort of surreal comedy show that would be canceled after the first episode.
5) No less than %1,000; I'm absolutely hysterical.
