My BFFs from high school? There were few, I was the loaner, who never fit in well, and I either didn't know why, or didn't want to deal with it. There is one special BFF left in Florida, she is married - with an amazing daughter - she is in poor health - I worry about her. One other BFF I have given up on, I don't need abuse and intolerance in my life. Facebook has put me back in contact with a bunch of past classmates. It is nice to see and hear what they have done, but we have gone so far in 41 years.

The Way We Were Wednesdays - BFFs

I have no BFFs.
ReplyDeleteLike Anne Marie, I have no BFFs from those days. Also reconnected with high school classmates via Facebook. Some pleasant connections, many should have stayed DISconnected. I had a group of friends outside school who were quite a bit older. That’s how I survived the high school years I think. I was a hippy. Don’t even have contact with my hippy friends from those days.
ReplyDeleteI married my BFF a year after graduation. Our forty-fifth reunion should happen next year. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteMine were all dead by the time we were 40. Sorry to be a downer. It's not that any of them had terminal diseases or lived dangerously. Very odd when I think of it.
