The secret to getting onto platform 9 3/4 was to act confidently and get a little bit of a running start. A lot of things in life are like that, look and act like you belong and often you will go unnoticed.
I have followed people into conferences, receptions and parties. Just look and act like you belong here and no one will notice. Fake it, don't let them know you are a fraud. Underneath the facade many people fear being found out to be a fraud, but if they fake it, they make it.
The picture above was taken with the somewhat crappy camera in an early smart phone (a blackberry.) I had gone for a walk about, leaving Jay watching the bags, including the bag with my better camera in it, while we waited for our train. Not a bad image for a phone faking it as a camera.
