I virtually always take the regional train. The two services run in the same tracks, and traffic and track conditions slow the higher speed train. The difference in travel time is about an hour, and the cost is about double. I have always taken the train to NYC. I have never driven my cars north of Baltimore, the traffic becomes heavy and once you get to NYC of Philly, parking is expensive and in many areas hard to find. You need time to digest the content but of course you should reply to legitimate emails. Receiving written material is my preference even if from a friend with a suggestion to catch up. It gives me time to think.<br /><br />I must have a look at your Metro. I had a look at your fastish train to NYC and although not really high speed, I think it is quite a viable alternative to driving. <br /><br />I was 22 when I wrote a letter of complaint to our road authority and I made a change.
