The second one I too get and known them to be Red Bellied Woodpeckers. I have no idea why they call them that because the red is in the head. And up close, there bigger then you think. I have a unusual looking one right now with all spots, the red seems to be gone. But come 5am without fail, there outside pecking and tapping on the drain pipes.Mistress Maddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02098940220513091207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16253353.post-5425457736471754342020-10-03T03:43:37.066-04:002020-10-03T03:43:37.066-04:00We have books of native birds, native plants, nati...We have books of native birds, native plants, native insects. My guess is a male Downy Woodpecker in that first photo.Moving with Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12954028272162285597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16253353.post-1736665813207755102020-10-03T00:15:20.396-04:002020-10-03T00:15:20.396-04:00petals, luv, not pedals. unless you are looking a...petals, luv, not pedals. unless you are looking at bicycles.
