If you enjoy driving through gorgeous scenery in general, you could fly into Spokane, WA and drive through Idaho and Montana before dropping down from Livingston, MT to the northern entrance of Yellowstone. Coeur d'Alene, ID was lovely to look at, but I understand is also quite a stronghold of white supremacy, so we didn't stop.
