It is most famous for mountains, mormons and the Great Salt Lake (that is in danger of drying up in our lifetimes.) There are high desert plains, and high mountain peaks.
I would like to go back and see the four corners region in the southeast of the state where Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico come together, maybe stand in all four states at once. And ride the Durango to Silverton railroad.
It is a state I have spent little time in, but I have been there.
I’ve been there to visit Zion National Park and have driven through the state on our way from Southern California to South Dakota. Some beautiful scenery. I’m uncomfortable with Mormonism and it was everywhere.

DeleteIt's another I have driven through when I was returning to California from Santa Fe and drove up through Colorado and across Wyoming and then down into Utah and around the Great Salt Lake then across the desert of Nevada until I got home.

There are vast -vast stretches of flat and featureless in that part of the country.

DeleteI worked for about 4 months in Salt Lake City and enjoyed my time there but the southern half of the state is what hold my interest. All those interesting canyons and valleys and waterfalls. It's a great place to enjoy some outdoor activities.

DeleteHow could you possibly stand in "all four states at once" David? Are you a quadruped? I suppose that at the precise meeting point you could use your hands as well as your feet.
