To Sea Again

I went back to sea again to see again what I could see. Nice short relaxing cruise to the Bahamas. Good thing to, without it DG might have gone over the rail.

Director of Aquatic Flight Operations

I was called in this morning to direct aquatic flight operations at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. My considerable expertise is wet flying was a great help. Here I am on the balcony of WH and DG's very-very fluffy hotel room.

4th Floor

The new nesting site is on the 4th Floor, on the opposite side of the building. Moving day is fast approaching and DG is no where near ready.

Nesting Site

I am off with DG and WH in search of a new nest site in DC, then onto Florida and the Bahamas then back to Florida and then back to Kentucky, for three days, then back to DC for 4 days, then back to Lexington for 4 or 5 days, then onto the new nest. OMG!
I'll drop in and update when I can to let you all know what is happening.

Comfy Hotels

We have been a little keyed up the past 36 hours with a couple of odd nights of rest. We really need a nice comfy hotel like the Pan Pacific in Seattle for a couple of days of rest. No early morning email and web searches for a new nesting site.

Away we go!

It is official the offer has been made and accepted, notice has been given to the present employer, the official job title is Chief Counsel for the well we won't talk about that on a public blog, but it is a major national organization that does program and policy development in DG's field. DG and TR are to report to start the new job on December 15th.
OMG what now!

TR goes to Washington

A verbal offer has been made and accepted, DG is awaiting something in writing, but it looks like I am going to Washington. About 2 blocks north of the White House. In time for the inauguration. DG is thrilled speechless and slightly in shock; kind of like the dog that keeps chasing cars and one day he catches one.

Penguin poop

We went to visit family today. They kept stepping on DG's feet, nipping at his finger and trying to catch the wrist strap on the camera in their beaks. The problem is that the floor was covered with the exhaust from lunch and they tracked penguin poo onto the tops of DG's shoes. Any ideas on how to clean penguin poo off leather shoes? My family, what can I say?

Woodford Cannonball

A couple of weeks ago we decided to escape one weekend afternoon and ride the local scenic railway. I can swim faster then the train to no where, but the ride was relaxing and fun.

I can't wait for the moving vans to bring change to Pennsylvania Avenue. Vote for me and I promise krill and every pot and safety from the leopard seals.

Saturday at last

We are home from an intense trip to DC. In a week or so we will know if the trip yields the desired result. In the mean time it is Saturday and we are going to kick back and relax.
