I used to stay once a week at a friend's place near uni because i had a night class and an early class the next day and lived up in the hills. He said he knew I was from 'the country' because when I walked my dogs down the suburban footpaths, I would say, "Hello," and smile at everyone who passed us and they would do the same back. I never even realised that was no longer the norm, because when I did it they did it. In a busy city street it would be impossible but geez,in the suburbs? Glad I'm still 'country'. Ps you are super cute and I would be glad to say hello back if you ever ride by me down here in Western Australia. :) T.L. People in big cities seem to be inherently suspicious and paranoid. They're not used to anyone being friendly or nice. I think it's wonderful that you're bewildering them!Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02619128793632680659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16253353.post-24760333716270007402016-07-15T10:09:20.294-04:002016-07-15T10:09:20.294-04:00Such a sweet little bunny!Such a sweet little bunny!WickedHamsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02507325341606702301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16253353.post-81585547947071696342016-07-15T08:05:00.584-04:002016-07-15T08:05:00.584-04:00Those random greetings are much more common here i...Those random greetings are much more common here in Southern Spain and actually expected in local shops. You walk in, you greet whoever else is around. I love it. During tourist season (like now), however, not quite as friendly. If I were in DC, a greeting from the guy on the bicycle would make my day!Moving with Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12954028272162285597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16253353.post-69073559863913368032016-07-15T01:00:34.223-04:002016-07-15T01:00:34.223-04:00how WONDERFUL to hear you say "I am riding my...how WONDERFUL to hear you say "I am riding my bike to work"! modern medicine is fabulous, don't you think?

have a nice weekend!anne marie in phillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11765140782182605141noreply@blogger.com
