Symbol of the City

New York has the Empire State Building, Paris the Eiffel Tower, London has Big Ben, Washington DC has the Washington Monument - the Capital - the asylum at 1600 Pennsylvania  Avenue.  San Francisco has the Golden Gate Bridge.  The color of the bridge does not stand out in this picture, but the shape of bridge is iconic.

What iconic city symbol do wish to go see?

  1. I loved my drive over the Golden Gate when I was out there. I do think I would have to some time see the Eiffel Tower.

  5. I've seen them all but the Sydney Opera House--probably not going to see that one. I'd add the Tower of London.

  6. " the asylum at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" Ha! I think I'm more into natural icons. The Grand Canyon (been twice, camped once), National Parks. We cross the Golden Gate on our way to Muir Woods. City icons, as a general rule, I look at in pictures.
