Italian Trains

Italy knows how to do trains.  Fast trains, slow trains, new trains and old- very old trains.  They run more or less on time, they get you from where you are to where you want to be.  Tickets can now be booked online and printed at home, or from easy self serve vending machines in the stations - if - and only if- you have a pin and chip credit card (I do and it works.)

The high speed lines move up to 300 kph, that is kicking right along.  Yesterday we took a slow local from Modena to Bologna, a high speed from Bologna to Rome (in first class) and then the Leonardo Express from Rome to the Airport.  All in all a very nice experience.

This adventure is nearly over, I have well over 2,200 images on the camera to keep me blogging for a while.
